ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard
- We conduct training for staff on the ISO 31000 standard for risk management to engender risk-based thinking and practice.
- The training is based on the actual risk management standard (ISO 31000).
- At the end of the training, users can elect to go for a certification in terms of the IRMSA (Certified Risk Management Practitioner [CRM Prac] or Certified Risk Management Professional [CRM Prof]) or G31000 certification frameworks.
ISO 31010 Risk Management Tools
- ISO 31010 provides the risk management tools used for risk identification and risk assessment. .
- Users can also devise their own identification and assessment tools, and it is recommended that each tool identified be documented to allow for continuous review and improvement.
- Advanced tools that embody risk modelling techniques are also available but require expert quantitative practitioners to guide the definition of the algorithms and do the programming and quality assurance tests.
ISO 31073 Common Risk Language
- ISO 31073 provides the definition of key terms that ensure common risk language and a shared understanding of the key terms and concepts in risk management.
- Every organization can create its own risk language, but embedding these key terms in that language would be essential.
- The ISO 31000 standard is a guideline and does not provide for the certification of organizations.
- Individuals are certified under this standard as practitioners and professionals in terms of ISO/IEC 17024:2012.
